Geopogo

Geopogo is an Architectural Visualization company aiming to revolutionize the construction industry using AR/VR and desktop visualization to allow stakeholders to clearly and effectively communicate their designs and eliminate construction rework and delays. With Geopogo I Built a platform for visualizing models on Head Mounted Displays such as Magic Leap, and led startup teams developing a desktop application bridging traditional architectural design software with visualization on HMD, phone app (shown below), and desktop multiplayer.

Geopogo AR

With Geopogo, my first project was building a HMD (Head Mounted Display) app on the Unity Game Engine. This app takes in models from the desktop app and allows the user to inspect designs in 1-to-1 scale, as a scale model, or even tour the interiors before the design is built. This technology has been used to show planned developments to the public (as seen below), as well as allowing enhanced walkthroughs of construction sites for clients that in one case identified and avoided $250,000 in rework issues that had been missed in traditional review methods.

Overseeing the engineering team as Technical Cofounder, I managed, and helped with, development on the Geopogo desktop app, built on Unity with connections to AWS. This program lets users import 3d design files from nearly any 3d modeling software, or quickly mock up their own design then export it to either be viewed in AR, or shared in a multiplayer experience.

With Geopogo I also managed, and helped, teams adapting our desktop app to display city-scale digital twins to assist in urban planning and interacting with the public. Initially built to showcase the twin cities of Windsor and Detroit, we are quickly expanding it to new places, as shown below by my cofounder Mike Hoppe.
